Definition of Dementia
Dementia is a neurodegenerative brain disease that causes loss of cognitive functioning — such as short term memory loss, thinking, planning, organising, remembering, and reasoning — to such an extent that it interferes with a person's daily life and activities.
The hallmark of Alzheimer’s disease is a slow, progressive decline in short-term memory-
